This fully hosted expedition* will showcase the best of New Zealand’s northern tip of the South Island.
From the Marlborough Sounds, we'll complete 50km hike along the stunningly beautiful Queen Charlotte Track. Its remoteness and solitude offers an abundance of secluded bays, islands, coves and sheltered waterways. Then we’ll try our hand at sea kayaking and finish off our week with a fun bicycle (or roadster) ride and a tour of the world renowned Marlborough wine region.
From Picton, there are no roads, so we’ll take a boat out to the start of the Queen Charlotte Track. Over the next three days, we’ll experience the most impressive scenery, clear sandy bays and lush coastal forest up to skyline ridges. The ever changing views and serenity will leave you speechless. The companionship from your host and fellow hikers will give you the support, the sense of adventure, along with fun and laughter. These are all vital ingredients for this tramping experience.
We don’t have to do it tough, as our luggage will be transported ahead of us each day leaving only a day pack to carry. Each night we’ll have warm showers, chef prepared meals and sleep in comfortable, clean beds. *sigh*
*expedition (noun) a journey undertaken by a group of people with a particular purpose, especially that of exploration, research or war. Hang on, there’ll be no war! (unless NZ are playing Australia)
