Overview

This fully hosted trip will take us to some of the most amazing parts of Peru. We’ll visit Cusco and the Sacred Valley, we’ll hike the stunning and remote Lares Track then visit the UNESCO World heritage Site of Macchu Picchu before heading deep into the Amazon Jungle.

We’ll start in historic Cusco, once the capital of the Inka Empire until Spanish invasion the 16th century. We’ll spend a couple of days acclimatising to the high altitude (3,400m) as we learn about the history of the Inka and Quechuan people before hiking along the less-travelled Lares Track. The track is surrounded by exquisite snow-capped peaks and roving herds of llamas and alpacas. Most importantly, we will travel through hidden communities unchanged for centuries for a unique upclose visit with the local people. Only two nights of camping involved and no need to carry heavy back-packs, this is done for you.

No trip to Peru is complete without a visit to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu, a place more fascinating and stunning than any photo can do it justice.

Our next destination is deep in the Amazon Jungle for an authentic jungle experience staying in an open-aired lodge with numerous expeditions available to search for wildlife. Ideal for both nature and science enthusiasts.
