This tour provides a complete Tanzania experience; the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro, an opportunity to spot the big five on safari and an insight into the wonderful work which is being done to provide a future for the children who live in this remarkable part of Africa.

The highlight of this tour is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The distinctive, snow-capped dome which rises almost 5000 metres above the plains can be climbed without ropes or technical climbing experience.

We spend 6 days on the mountain; hiking through rainforest, open forest, heath and moorland, desolate alpine desert and finally tackling the spectacular glacial summit. Our experienced crew of local porters and guides will carry all equipment and set up camp each evening.

The climb is followed by a safari in the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Parks. Spot the big five; lion, rhino, elephant, cape buffalo and leopard in East Africa’s premier wild life reserves.

To complete our trip we visit The School of St Jude. Established and run by inspirational Australian, Gemma Sisia, the school provides education for the poorest children of the Arusha area.
