With extensive experience as independent travellers, they now share their adventures with like-minded travellers who seek personal challenge and wish to leave a positive impact on the communities they visit.

James Holden James is an experienced trekker and tour leader. He and his wife, Suzanne, have a special association with Ethiopia and its people through their two beautiful adopted Ethiopian children. James is also a journalist and produces our great brochures and newsletters. As our resident fitness expert he co-ordinates our training programs. James has a current certificate in wilderness first aid and CPR. |

Chris Ramsey Chris Ramsey is a keen amateur ornithologist and avid bushwalker. He has led treks in Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea and Tanzania. Apart from travel, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys and watching Rugby. He has a current certificate in wilderness first aid and CPR. |

Mick Bou-Samra Mick trekked with Icon Adventures in 2005 and has been leading tours for us ever since. He has a great interest in Ethiopia which is the birthplace of his adopted son. Mick's Ethiopian experience and his planning and interpersonal skills make him the perfect guide for cultural and historical tours. |

Greg Shannon Greg is an experienced and competent Kokoda trek leader. He has walked the track many times, and has an amazing knowledge of the area and its military history. His other passion is Rugby League, writing part-time for the Queensland Rugby League and the North Queensland Cowboys. Greg is trained in first aid and CPR. |

Israel Sahle Israel is our man-on-the-ground in Ethiopia. His meticulous organisation and negotiation skills are vital to the success of our Ethiopian trips. He is an honest and dependable young man who loves introducing people to his beautiful country. Israel is fluent in Amharic, Tigrean and English.
